The female fellers in the Women's Timber Corps were issued with a brass badge of two crossed axes, inspired the by Pioneer Corps badge. Worn on the sleeve, these badges were very precious to the Lumberjills, as many were lost in the forest.

Diane Durrant,I'm interested in the Lumberjills because my mum served in the Land Army. Lovely badge but not sure how to attach to clothes,it could do with a brooch pin or perhaps a tie pin type attachment, I have attached mine with a safety pin - not ideal.
